Bites of small insects is bearable like mosquitos, ants to a some extent, but what if bites of snake, Dog or leaches that gives so much pain or need first aid management on the spot.

Snake bite
Around more than 2500 different kinds of snakes are found and only about 200 of them are venomous.
All snake bite are not fatal only a very small quantity of the venom might have been injected and most of the people die not because of the venom, but from fear.
But some snakes bites are fatal and may cause death within a few hours, so in the case of snake bite you should atleast know how to handle the situation or how to prevent spread of venom in the body until the person reaches to hospital.
First aid Management of snake bite
- First lay the victim person down and give him complete rest or reassure him and never make him walk.
- If you make the victim to walk then chances of rapid spread of venom in body increases because in walking state blood flows in body easily to every part of body and through blood the venom reaches to vital organs of body and damage them and the person may die.
- So never make victim to walk, and try to make victim to remain cool in a lie down position.
- If the bite is on the arm or leg then apply a constrictive bandage or a peace of cloth on the heart side (for example if bite is on the hand then bandage should be applied on wrist or if bite is on wrist then bandage should be on above or below elbow)of the bite, tight enough to obstruct and to stop the flow of venom to all parts of the body.
- Now, if you have no cracks on your lips, tongue and inside of the cheeks, you can suck the wound and spit out the poisonous material rapidly.
- If water is available wash the wound with soap and water and flush wound with lot of water.
- After that cover the wound with clean cloth or derssing.
- Get medical aid as soon as possible or send the victim to the hospital ; if snake has been killed then carry it to the dispensary for identification which helps in finding the antidote for that partucular venom.
Dog bite
Dog bite can be very serious if the dog have rabies infection, if the dog is suffering from rabies it will be transmitted to the person and this condition is called as hydrophobia.
The dog should not be killed and must be chained and kept under observation for ten days, if the dog is healthy after this period then there is no danger of rabies

First aid Management of dog bite
- Firstly all bites must be treated as potentially bite by a rated dog.
- Then wipe the saliva away from the wound and wash the wound thoroughly with plenty of soap and water.
- After that cover the wound with dry clean cloth or if possible with sterile dressing, do not put carbolic acid, nutric acid or any thing the wound within one third hour of bite if possible.
- Get medical aid or send send the victim to the hospital for proper treatment of the wound.
Stings of Mites, Ticks and Leacges
Mites, Ticks and Leaches are found in marshes and jungles, they attach themselves firmly to the skin.
Mites and Ticks may carry typhus and may transmit it to the person.
Leaches are normally harmless, but they suck blood from the victim.
Ticks are responsible for the transmission of typhus, encephalitis, hemorrhagic fever and relapsing fever.
Mite also known as itch mite, it lays eggs under the upper layers of skin and when the larvae begin to hatch out of the egg and crawl on the skin, they produce itching
And straching leads to bacterial infection.

- Don't try to remove the insects manually because their mouth parts may remain in the skin and may cause inflammation and infrction.
- Put the burning end of a cigarette to the body of the ticks and leaches by this they will fall off.
- And application of salt on leaches also makes them do drop off from the skin.
- Mites are so small that they can't be easily seen to be removed so, clean the area with methylated spirite and apply weak ammonia or bicarbonate of sada this will relieves iiritation.

- After that apply weak ammonia or bicarbonate of soda to the area this will relieve the pain.
